Zoolandering Again

Went to the San Diego Zoo today for my seventh visit of the year so far. This time with Sylvia, Mary and her daughter Diana. We made sure to stop by the hippo calf so Sylvia could finally see it in person. We ate lunch at the Flamingo Café before heading out in the early afternoon.

Zoo Day With Female Relatives

Walked around the San Diego Zoo with my mom and sister, stopping for lunch at Treehouse Café near the gorillas. Meandered mainly in the southern half of the zoo.

My Kind Of Business Meeting

Started my day by meeting with a client this morning at Starbucks. Had me my regular Tall Decaf Caramel Macchiato with extra caramel. And a slice of Lemon Loaf cake. And a shoe cameo.

Final Day Of Some Good Ol’ Animalizing

Last day of taking care of the neighbors’ canines and felines. Saved the best shots for last.

I Have A Valentine! And This Time It’s A Real Girl!

My amazing gift-giving friend Lisa sent me some pretty cool custom chocolates from Chocomize for Valentine’s Day.

Smooth Cello Criminal

Cool video of the day.

Day/Night Two Of Animal Keeping

Second day of watching the neighbor’s dogs, cats and house.

45th Annual Battering Of Large Men

Watched a rather uninteresting Superbowl matchup with the Green Bay Packers coming out victorious over the Pittsburgh Steelers 31-25.

Super Messy Lunch

Met Rodrigo, Sylvia, Mary, Dave, Bethany, Chip and the two kids for lunch at Phil’s BBQ in San Diego.

Back At The Neighbor Zoo

Start of another weekend of house/dog/cat-sitting for the neighbors while they enjoy the Superbowl weekend at Disneyland. Day/night one.

Zoo With Heather

Spent the morning at the San Diego Zoo with Heather. Had lunch at Sydney’s Grill.

Three Hour Lunch

Had a really tasty three hour lunch at Souplantation with Lannie. Good company, good food, good lord I got full.

New View Of Hummingbird Nest

While the Hummingbird was still in the nest, she let me tie the plant branches to protect it from the wind. Then while she flew off I took some more pictures of the two eggs.

Hippo Replacement

For my milestone 500th blog post, I took my mom to see the baby hippo, now six days old, at the San Diego Zoo. Got extremely lucky that Funani, the mother, decided to move out of the water  and onto the dirt. That gave everyone who waited a chance to clearly see the calf.

Chatting Up The Tapias Via Video

Had my first post V&R video chat with Sylvia and Rodrigo from their newly remodeled computer/work-out room.
