Pic Of The Wrist
Went with Rodrigo to San Diego Imaging to get an x-ray of his left wrist, which has been causing him pain and numbness lately. Obviously we stopped at Starbucks on the way back to celebrate three successful images. What those images reveal will be explained at a later date.

Food Doesn’t Usually Mean This Much
Got together with Sylvia, Rodrigo, Lannie and Mary for Sharon’s birthday lunch at the Tapias’ house. It was Sharon’s first real meal in a while, finally eating normal food after her very recent and successful fight against tongue cancer.

...which led to their page about Chinese restaurants in San Diego...
...and this other company is the same one that used my train photo from Zilker Park for a book about Austin to be published later this year.

Zoo Visit #17
Spent the morning at the San Diego Zoo with my wedded friends Heather and Bryan. We laughed, we cried, we ate, we walked, we photographed, we emptied respective bladders, we hung from cables, we got into trouble and we even learned.

Not Ready For My Closeup, Mr. DeMille
Snapped a screen capture of Brenda’s television debut. Unfortunately for her it was on an A&E show called Heavy, about morbidly obese people trying to better themselves. Also unfortunately for her, she was on screen for about half a blurry second in the background. Still more unfortunately, the shot was of the back of Brenda. The crew was shooting follow-up on a much reduced Ashley dancing at the Broken Spoke in Austin. I placed a tiny, subdued and innocuous arrow indicating Brenda. You can just make out her hair and white shirt. Ashley is doing much better. (If you click the link, Brenda’s about a minute into Part 4.)

Server Fail
Went with Rodrigo to his office in Carlsbad and helped him cannibalize three computers to get a server back online, including swapping out motherboards, video cards, controller cards, memory and power supplies. Honored our victory with a celebratory visit to Starbucks.
