My Day With Lilo And Stitch

Dog-sat Lilo and Stitch today while their parents were visiting family in Orange County. Easy gig. Those dogs are the best. Gave me a chance to finally watch “How To Train Your Dragon” which I absolutely loved. Also gave me the opportunity to pick a ton of cherry tomatoes to bring home and to document some of the cool stuff mommy and daddy have decorating their house.

Fun With Science

Had a great time playing with science experiments with Rodrigo at the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center in Balboa Park. We also watched the IMAX movie “Hubble” which was stunning, if a little hard to watch at times because of craning our necks to see everything in their domed theater.

Run Cheetah Run!

Had a fantastic tweetup at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. Got VIP treatment for a a practice run of the new Cheetah Run exhibit that will open to the lesser people (general public) on July 2.  Also got to see an eight day-old Western Lowland Gorilla being carried by it’s mom, as well as four African Elephants, including three calves, splashing around in a pool, a Milky Eagle Owl, some California Condors and a baby Desert Bighorn Sheep with its mom. Just a great all-around visit.

This Day In My History

In 2004 I watched my nephew Alex play soccer and score his team’s first goal during World Cup Day of his UK Soccer Camp in Los Alamos, New Mexico. His team was Brazil. In 2005, my friend Lannie and I met and hung out with the artist Shag at an event for him at the Disneyland Hotel. In 2006 I had returned from another trip to my brother’s in Los Alamos, NM. In 2007, my mom, sister and I dropped my niece Kimi off at the Albuquerque airport before we started heading back for San Diego. In 2008 I walked at SeaWorld with my mom. (Not sure why I don’t have pictures.) In 2009 I filed a second Do-Not-Call List complaint with the FCC against Hearty House Doc. In 2010, my mom, niece Kimi again and I hiked around Pajarito Mountain outside of Los Alamos, NM. In 2011 I blogged about it all.

Newness At SeaWorld

Walked around SeaWorld San Diego with my mom today. Saw a bunch of new stuff like two young Red Kangaroos (got to pet one named Elle for Elle MacPherson), an Owl Monkey whose name I forgot, a Pygmy Hedgehog named Hodgepodge that I also got to pet, got to hold a Decorator Crab, saw two Llamas with a miniature horse and a mom and daughter donkey (all of which I got to pet), walked through the newly opened Turtle Reef exhibit which I enjoyed very much, and saw some of the construction going on to install “Manta,” the roller coaster being put in where the old Forbidden Reef used to be. All in all a pretty good visit, even if it was on a crowded summer day.

Breakfast With The Ms. Csanadis

Had a really enjoyable breakfast this morning with my mom, my sister and my niece. I was there to represent the testosterone camp. I had some wonderfully delicious Swedish Crepes with lingonberries.

My Gigi Photo Is Almost Famous

Found one of my Comic Con pictures of Gigi Edgley on a fan site. What’s most surprising is that the site’s author was good enough to give me credit for the photo. Not used to that kind of honesty on the Internet. (I’m looking at you, CNET!)

Bond Villains = Sexual Innuendos Galore

What James Bond villain/conquest from Goldfinger does this represent?

Hint: it’s not Octopussy. That’s from…well…Octopussy.

Zoo Day With Kimi (Post #800!)

Spent a few fun-filled hours at the world famous San Diego Zoo today with my favorite niece, Kimi. Took bunches of photos of her with various animals (even petting a few) and had a really awful lunch. We both strongly felt like we were going to see somebody famous there and we amazingly ended up seeing nobody famous.

Imagine If They’d Made It About Allah

Part one of three. (Links at the end to continue.) What a great ironic twist to the story. (Really need to see this movie again.)

Father’s Day Dinner

Our San Diego family got together and had a “surprise” Father’s Day dinner for my brother Ozzie. The surprise part didn’t turn out, but the dinner was excellent.

Not Enough Cat Pictures

Another neighbor asked us to go over to see her two new kittens, Faith and Hope, both thirteen weeks old. I can see even more cat-sitting in my future.

Cat-Sitting: Day Five

This is my final full day of cat-sitting so here’s only one photo showing seven of the eight cats and a few shots of various homey knickknacks.

Colin’s Passing Tweet

Hilarious Father’s Day tweet this morning by the always funny Colin Mochrie.

Cat Sitting: Day Four

Today I thought I would show some photos of the cats for a change. (Not much else going on there.) Two more nights, one more day.
