Went to a family party at José’s house to celebrate his quick recovery after brain surgery. Even family from out of town showed up for this one. We had fantastic chili, corn bread and dump cake, all home-made by the Tapias.

Uh, … home-made DUMP cake?!

It is a rather unfortunate name. But the cake itself was incredible. They literally “dump” a bunch of fresh fruit onto some crust and then “dump” some more crust on top before baking.
