When Mormons Attack

After living in San Diego for over thirty years I finally decided to stop by the Mormon Battalion Historic Site (museum and recruiting office) by Old Town. The presentations were high quality and very well put together, with obviously a lot of money from the church. Problem was it was too much religion and not …

Photowalk With Heather

Had a really good, silly and sarcastic time with Heather today, walking around taking pictures in Old Town San Diego and having a great Mexican lunch at Café Coyote.  Even ran into another friend of mine, Terry, who I occasionally work with. Heather and I took pictures of anything that caught our eye and looked interesting, although I’m pretty …

My Latest Canvas Print

Received a canvas print today of the wagon and barrels photo that I shot in Old Town back on July 14. As always I am very happy with the quality that Picture It On Canvas produces.

New Canvas Print Order

Was scrounging to choose a decent enough photo to use my Groupon canvas print coupon from Picture It On Canvas for. Got a little tired of looking through all my animal and city pictures so I settled on a recent shot I took of some old west decor that was sitting outside the entrance of …

Spent a second day walking around Old Town in San Diego, taking pictures and meeting friends for lunch. This time it was with Lisa and her family at La Piñata, advertised as the oldest restaurant in Old Town. ( p i c s )

Had a really nice time walking around taking pictures in Old Town today. Then my day got even better after meeting up for lunch with Heather and her daughter plus Lannie with her son at Café Coyote. After lunch I went over to see the McCoy House Museum for the first time. Talked for about …

Old Town Trolley Tour

Finally, after thirty one years of living here, I took the Old Town Trolley Tour of San Diego. Some of the info was new, but the sights were all ones I’ve seen before. Good, if stunted, introduction to San Diego for out-of-towners.

Lunch With Family In Old Town

After a morning spent shopping, I had lunch with my mom, brother and nephew at Casa de Reyes in Old Town. May just be the best tacos in town. The waitress was as Mexican as Betty White, which kind of took away from the authenticity.

First Time At Casa De Reyes For Dinner

Took my mom and the Onellions over to Casa de Reyes in Old Town for dinner. Great food and great waitress.  She sounded exactly like Sofia Vergara. Cute, too.

Old Town Lunch With Harriet

Met Harriet for lunch at the Cosmopolitan Hotel and Restaurant in Old Town San Diego. Had the Blackened Mahi Fish Tacos.

Another Trip To Old Town

Drove down to Old Town with Mami and Anne for her third time there so she could pick up a couple more items to take back to England.

Old Town Art Festival

Walked around Old Town with Anne and my mom during Old Town’s annual Art Festival. Had lunch at Café Coyote.

Old Town, Coronado and Seaport Village

A very full last day for Kate and Jasmine. We walked around Old Town and had lunch at Coyote Café before driving across the bridge to the Ferry Landing in Coronado to walk around. Then we went back to Seaport Village to walk around and watched the the USS Ronald Reagan leave port.
