Richard Alf Memorial

Drove up to Ramona to attend the memorial for my friend, Richard Alf, who passed away last week. I arrived about an hour early so I could take pictures of Bonham Bros. and Stewart Mortuary and then have some time to walk around downtown Ramona before heading back for the service.  Was planning on visiting the Guy B. Woodward Museum but the entry gate was locked when I got there. Shot quite a few other old-time buildings along Main Street including an old western hotel (now art gallery), the Main St. Roca church, the Ramona Mainstage Nightclub and the Ramona Town Hall. The memorial service lasted almost two hours with about a dozen people getting up to speak about Richard, including his mother. There were lots of people there who were part of the early days of Comic Con. Ran into an old friend named Maggie who I worked with at the same time as with Richard. Decided not to join most of the others at someone’s house for an after-service party. I didn’t know who most of the people were anyway.
