Not One, But Two Tobacco Hornworms

Took some super close-up macro shots of two tobacco hornworms on one of my mom’s tomato plants. These guys were huge. They are amazing creatures that look nasty but are so docile. They are the larvae of the Hawk Moth, also known as the Hummingbird Moth or Sphinx Moth. I also learned that the “eyes” on the sides are called spiracles and they are actually used in respiration of gases. Nuff said.
