Facebook F8 Conference

Watched the live streaming of Facebook’s F8 conference with Mark Zuckerberg giving his usual keynote address. While most people are for a while going to be angry and have a terrible time with the new layout and additions they will be rolling out, especially Timeline, I think this is an incredible leap forward for Facebook and for people’s online presence. And there is no stopping that from happening any more. Adding Spotify, Netflix and Hulu as major content providers will take a huge bite out of iTune’s dominance and Google+, while at first extremely popular with the geek and tech crowds, will have a much harder time continuing to enlist as many subscribers as they initially did. This is a huge win for Facebook.
