San Diego Salute

Captured the San Diego Salute flying formation team as they flew their Beechcraft T-34s over our house this afternoon. They were doing their annual Mt. Soledad Veterans Memorial ceremony fly-over.

There were seven total but one peeled off moments before this shot.

Thank you for noticing our fly-by. Our T-34s are all A and B-models — piston engine driven vs. the T-34C which has a turboprop. It goes much faster but uses lots more fuel.

    1. Thank you so much for the clarification, Don. I strive to be as accurate as possible even if I don’t know what I’m talking about. I truly appreciate your input as well as you just checking out the post in the first place. That was a very pleasant surprise. And you guys are awesome for what you do. On behalf of the few people who read this blog on a regular basis, thank you for helping us remember who the heroes are.
