Visiting José

Went to visit my best friend’s father in the hospital again today. Every day seems to bring better outcomes, although he did have to fire his appointed neurosurgeon for lack of communication and concern with hopes of getting transferred to another hospital under a different doctor’s care.

Visiting José

Visited my best friend’s father after a terrible and completely unexpected series of symptoms and preliminary diagnoses sent him to the hospital. Simply put, tomorrow’s MRI results will decide his future.

Two More Doctor Visits For Mami

My mom had two more doctor appointments today, both of which went very well with very good test results from her earlier CAT scan. Also stopped by her audiologist and I got some shots of old timey instruments in a display case.

Mami’s CAT

Took my mom for an annual routine CAT scan. She didn’t mind me documenting it.

Practice Shots

Went to my brother’s pediatrics office to get some shots of one of his front office workers as well as some kids, all for his website.

Medical Morning

Took Alex first to his orthodontist for some braces adjustments and then to the clinic to get his wrist x-rayed to see if he fractured it in a fall yesterday. Doesn’t look like he did.

Pic Of The Wrist

Went with Rodrigo to San Diego Imaging to get an x-ray of his left wrist, which has been causing him pain and numbness lately. Obviously we stopped at Starbucks on the way back to celebrate three successful images. What those images reveal will be explained at a later date.

Mami Sees The Eye Doctor

Took my mom to an eye doctor appointment this morning. Met Wally the five-year old golden retriever who is used to help waiting room patients relax.

The Hydration Cycle

Can’t believe it took me over fifty years to think of trying to hydrate myself at the same time that I was evacuating. It worked flawlessly.

Contracted The Flu Shot

Went to Costco to get my yearly flu shot.

Costco Stop

Stopped off at Costco with Mami and Anne to pick up my mom’s pain prescription for her bruised ribs.

Mami’s Dilated Pupil

My mom had an eye exam today that completely dilated both her pupils for the rest of the day.

Mami’s Appointment with Dr. Romero

Took my mom to her appointment with Dr. Romero who said her blood work from yesterday came back normal.

Mami’s Follow-up Blood Clot Ultrasound

Took my mom to her follow-up ultrasound appointment at Thornton Hospital to check on the blood clot she was diagnosed with a few months ago. She came away with the assurance that her jugular is clot-free.
