We got to feed loud and finicky Flamingoes and were presented with a Speckled Owl (which we got to pet) and a very blue Macaw (which we were not allowed to get very close to). Got a chance to spend some time with the Zoo&#8217;s social media person, Matt, to talk to him about the Zoo&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/sdzoo.tumblr.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">tumblr<\/a> page, as well as talked to <a href=\"http:\/\/kids.sandiegozoo.org\/jobs-zoo\/rick-schwartz\" target=\"_blank\">Rick<\/a>, the Zoo&#8217;s Animal Ambassador, about some of the other animals there at the Zoo.<\/p>\n<p>( a v i a n \u00a0 p i c s )<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Even though it rained a bit, I had a great time at today&#8217;s San Diego Zoo tweet-up during their Festival of Flight celebration.
