Picked up some really delicious pizza, chicken, pasta and salad from Pat & Oscar’s for lunch and watched the women’s 2011 World Cup soccer finals between the United States and Japan. After blowing two leads in the game, the first in the closing minutes of regulation, the other in the closing minutes of the second overtime, the US displayed some extremely disappointing lack of skills in the penalty shootout, eventually loosing the match. As frustrating and unsatisfying as the end result was, I am very happy for the Japanese women’s team who, after losing so much in the devastating earthquake and tsunami earlier this year, desperately needed to give their country a reason to celebrate. If it wasn’t going to be the US, I’m glad it was Japan.<\/p>\n
