We had a vigorous knock at our front door today with no one there when we opened it. Our neighbors were in the street walking feverishly with cell phones trying to find the eight cats they said got out\u00a0through a window that was left open. Soon afterwards they came back and said they found five of them hiding in the house. I drove around the neighborhood streets, asking people outside their homes if they’d seen three stray black cats. The answer was always no. Then I started to walk the neighborhood because driving around in the car was too fast to check each house’s yard. Finally the neighbors came back and told me that all eight were accounted for and had been hiding in the house the whole time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
