First my mom told me that she got an email from her nephew saying that her brother, \u00d6csi<\/strong>, who is in the hospital, doesn’t recognize his own son any more. Ten minutes later she got a visit from our neighbor’s daughter saying that her dad, Nick<\/strong>, has maybe only two days left if we want to come over to say goodbye. Then on our way across the street we got word from our other neighbor next to Nick and Betty that Scruffy<\/strong>, one of the dogs I occasionally watch, had to be taken to the vet and they found a large abdominal tumor that had ruptured. They said that he could die at any time. They even gave Liz the option of putting him down right then, but she brought him home.<\/p>\n
