I was recently given this flyer for the “World-Famed” San Diego Zoo<\/a> that I’m guessing is from the early 1960s since there is no Coronado Bay Bridge<\/a>, which began construction in 1967 and opened in 1969, on the location map on the back and that US 101 became I-5 in 1964. The photo of the little girl riding the Galapagos Tortoise is both priceless and humiliating for the poor tortoise. Odds are that tortoise is still walking around at the zoo. I think the write-up is hilarious with the 75\u00a2 adult admission, being able to ride the “world’s longest moving sidewalk,” having “camera rentals” and that back then people regularly used the word “ample” without referring to someone’s bosom.<\/p>\n
