{"id":10060,"date":"2011-12-01T16:42:59","date_gmt":"2011-12-02T00:42:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.pacsworlds.com\/blogs\/?p=10060"},"modified":"2011-12-01T16:54:50","modified_gmt":"2011-12-02T00:54:50","slug":"our-zoo-in-the-60s","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pacsworlds.com\/blogs\/2011\/12\/01\/our-zoo-in-the-60s\/","title":{"rendered":"Our Zoo In The 60s"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was recently given this flyer for the &#8220;World-Famed&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sandiegozoo.org\/zoo\/index.php\" target=\"_blank\">San Diego Zoo<\/a> that I&#8217;m guessing is from the early 1960s since there is no <a href=\"http:\/\/www.coronado.ca.us\/egov\/docs\/1206671591334.htm\" target=\"_blank\">Coronado Bay Bridge<\/a>, which began construction in 1967 and opened in 1969, on the location map on the back and that US 101 became I-5 in 1964. The photo of the little girl riding the Galapagos Tortoise is both priceless and humiliating for the poor tortoise. Odds are that tortoise is still walking around at the zoo. I think the write-up is hilarious with the 75\u00a2 adult admission, being able to ride the &#8220;world&#8217;s longest moving sidewalk,&#8221; having &#8220;camera rentals&#8221; and that back then people regularly used the word &#8220;ample&#8221;
